half term happiness

gg feb 2016

I do like a good half term project.  I bought the paper mache letters thinking that Gg might enjoy them, and she did have a good time.  One is for her and the other for her mum, the charms move.  The little box is for a little brother.

I bought a box of knitting looms and some (seriously cheap) yarn.  Our first project was a black beanie, not the easiest colour but Gg did a great job with no dropped stitches.  I plan to use my sitting and chat days to knit a long scarf so that I don’t feel guilty about not doing anything.

My big news is that I am in the process of buying a tapestry weaving loom.  And perhaps a spinning wheel will be next.  The big dreaded ‘0’ birthday is approaching and I started to think, it’s now or never.  I may have to rearrange the house to accommodate these new toys!

Of course, she put a skull on her green “G”! She’s a teen.
The spinning wheel must be in the lounge so you can watch TV and the dogs don’t break it. 🙂 Hopefully it will fit in the boot and you can take it with for classes and perhaps demos down the road when you get to be a whiz.
