In a Spin

drop spinning first goThis is a first for me.  I bought a drop spindle on a whim a couple of weeks ago, last week I bought ‘corridale’ yarn and this week I spun.  Ok, it isn’t very good, certainly has too much twist and is very uneven.  But I did it!  I used the twist and park method and found it really easy.  I am now busily looking for a spinning wheel.  I have watched so many hours of spinning on youtube that I am now and armchair expert.  If it wasn’t so cold, I would go outside and space dye some more fibres.  But it is.  So I am not.

Sorry to hear you are still in the middle of winter. I was freezing on the patio this morning testing out cooking on a paraffin filled can for Girl Scouts. I stood in the doorway to watch it; was taking too long. I’m excited about your spinning. But at this rate, you will be an expert before I even get there to “teach” you. LOL
