Jagged edge wrap

CAR = Carriage on right, CAL = Carriage on left

HP = Holding position, WP = Working position

K = Knit

***Cast on 87 Stitches with waste yarn starting at far left hand side of needle bed. Knit a few rows and then one row with ravel cord.  E-wrap cast on over ravel cord.  CAR Row counter to 000.  THEN

Version one

Set carriage to Hold

***Knit 2 rows.

Place 2 stitches at left into hp, K one row. Pull left hand needle to hp, knit one row CAR***

REPEAT until only 3 needles in WP  

Cast on 14 stitches at right (using latch tool), Place these and all remaining stitches EXCEPT for the 14 at the far left into wp 

When all needles have a stitch on them, set the carriage to K and knit 2 rows at loosest tension across all needles.  Latch tool cast off.

Version Two – this has small lace holes at the beginning of each triangle piece

Set carriage to Hold

***Knit 2 rows.

Place 2 stitches at left into hp, K one row. Transfer left hand stitch to needle at right, leave in wp, but pull empty needle to HP. K one row CAR***

REPEAT until only 3 needles in WP 

Cast on 14 stitches at right (using latch tool), Place these and all remaining stitches EXCEPT for the 14 at the far left into wp

When all needles have a stitch on them, set the carriage to N and knit 2 rows at loosest tension across all needles.  Latch tool cast off

Version Three – This has large lace holes at the beginning of each triangle piece

Set carriage to Hold

***Knit 2 rows.

Place 2 stitches at left into hp, K one row. Transfer left hand stitch to needle at right, leave in wp, but pull empty needle to HP making sure that the needle goes under the yarn. There will be two needles with one stitch on and one empty needle  K one row CAR***

REPEAT until only 3 needles in WP 

Cast on 14 stitches at right (using latch tool), Place these and all remaining stitches EXCEPT for the 14 at the far left into wp

When all needles have a stitch on them, set the carriage to N and knit 2 rows at loosest tension across all needles.  Latch tool cast off.

  1. You are justified in being proud. Wow!! These wraps just lay so beautifully on the shoulders and neck and well done for hardly unpicking! I am knitting a scarf on needles these days and once I put in markers at the start of each lace multiple, it was smooth sailing from that point on.
